Are you a driver or a passenger?

Last night, while looking for a reference in one of the reports that I give away as part of my eight part weight loss course I came across something I’d written in there that is so important I think just needs to be shared with you right here and now….

“…..Somewhere between the birth of my two children I overcame my fear of failure.
I dreamed a dream of being thinner. I set some specific goals.  I created a direction.  I then created plans to move in that direction.  And ultimately, I did it.
Nothing and no-one was going to distract me.

And yes, maybe I could have had a more worthwhile goal in there, instead of a vanity about my weight.

And yet, my own self image was linked to my own self esteem.  If I looked bad, I felt bad, and vice versa.

I could achieve so much more by having a stronger belief in myself and my own abilities …and if I could lose weight and maintain it, the way I wanted to, it would surely build that belief still further.

I could choose to have my life take an upward spiral, or a downward one.

However, the point is still the same, I HAD THE CHOICE.

I could confront my fears and failures, or I could live life  always being disappointed that I was never good enough.

And it’s true of us all,  at some stage we have to take some responsibility for our own lives and decide to improve them or just leave them to chance……”

So are you going to continue being a passenger, or take control and be the driver of your own weight loss (and life)?

What change are you going to implement?

What impact will that have on your life today, tomorrow, next week and next year?

If you achieve the weight loss you so want and deserve, what message will that send to you, and to others around you?

Do let me know – I can’t wait to hear from you!
